Two wanted criminals held in separate ops by Delhi PoliceNew Delhi, June 7 (Ajit Weekly News) The Delhi Police Crime Branch on Tuesday said they have arrested two wanted criminals in separate operations, of which one was an accused in a murder case.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (Crime Branch), Vichitra Veer said in the first operation the Anti-Human Trafficking Unit of the Crime Branch arrested a criminal identified as Akash (28), who was absconding in a robbery case registered at the Vijay Vihar police station.

According to the police official, a team was constituted which received a tip-off about the location of the accused, following which a raid was conducted and Akash was apprehended.

“During sustained interrogation, he admitted to have committed the above crime along with his associates,” the DCP added.

During the second operation, the Crime Branch arrested an accused identified as Pradeep alias Shyam Singh alias Sunder, who had jumped parole granted by the Court on grounds of Covid-19 in a murder case at Begumpur police station.

Pradeep was arrested after a tip-off was received about his location. He has previously been involved in three criminal cases, including that of murder and under the Arms Act, the official said.
