New Delhi, Sep 7 (Ajit Weekly News) The Congress party launched the video of the title song of its mass outreach programme Bharat Jodo Yatra on September 6. The main opposition party has prepared an ambitious roadmap to reach out to the masses of different states speaking different languages during the Yatra that will start from Kanyakumari on September 7.
Initially, the Congress party released the title song of the campaign in Hindi. The party has plans to release the title song in different languages as and when the Yatra led by Rahul Gandhi will traverse through a particular state. Earlier, Congress MP and head of party’s media department Jairam Ramesh had informed that the title song will be released in Tamil on September 6, in Malayalam on September 11 and in Kannada on September 30.
The party has already released the dedicated website, bharatjodoyatra.in to live stream the Yatra.
CVoter-IndiaTracker conducted a nationwide opinion poll on behalf of Ajit Weekly News to know if the Congress promotional video of its ambitious mass outreach programme has reached the masses. When the people were asked if they had seen the video of Yatra’s title song, a bigger proportion of respondents – 56 per cent replied in ‘no’.
At the same time, 44 per cent of those who participated in the survey said that they have seen the video.
The survey data suggests that the Congress is lagging in reaching the voters at mass level. During the survey, a bigger proportion of both the urban and rural respondents said that they have not seen the Yatra’s promotional video. As per the survey data, 53 per cent of the urban voters and 54 per cent of the rural respondents replied that the Congress’ promotional video hasn’t reached them.
Interestingly, while the majority of NDA voters – 70 per cent said that they have not seen the video of the Bharat Jodo Yatra, replies of opposition respondents were divided with a bigger proportion of them – 53 per cent giving an affirmative answer.
The country’s grand old party has high hopes to turnaround its political fortunes in 2024 through the Bharat Jodo Yatra. The Yatra starting from Kanyakumari will pass through 12 states and cover more than 3,500 km. The Yatra is being seen as a desperate attempt on the part of the main opposition to regain its lost political ground.
The party has been pushed to the position of distant No. 2 having won just 52 seats in the 2019 Lok Sabha polls.
