PANCHKULA: With people only with both doses of Covid-19 vaccination to be allowed in public places as well as in government offices, the local administration will hold special vaccination camps outside mini-secretariat and Huda and MC offices from January 1.
Deputy commissioner (DC) Mahavir Kaushik has issued the orders.

As the unvaccinated adults will be barred entry into public spaces once the curbs kick in, it is a good idea to hold special camps outside such areas to enable those who come there for work to get a jab. Since these camps will be held at a number of places, it will make getting inoculated easier too.

MC office so that people visiting offices and are left with both the doses of vaccination can be given vaccination. Entry at public places, including vegetable markets, bars, restaurants, hotels, grain market, general stores, liquor vends, shopping malls, cinema halls, local markets, bus stands, religious places, petrol pumps, CNG stations, milk booth, government and private banks, educational institutions, park, gym, fitness center, among other public places, would be prohibited without the vaccination certificate from January 1. For implementing the decision, all incident commanders would work in cooperation with the local police, the DC said. Challan as well as FIR would be registered against those violating Covid norms.
COVID DEATH, 15 NEW CASES IN UT
A 77-year-old man from Sector 4 died of Covid-19 at PGI on Tuesday. He had acute respiratory distress syndrome. He was fully vaccinated. The city reported 15 new cases, taking the count to 65,796, with 100 active cases. Seventeen patients were discharged, pushing the recovery count to 64,617. The death toll is 1,079.

Panchkula reported six new Covid-19 cases on Tuesday. The confirmed cases are 30,950, with 55 active cases. The recovery count is 30,514. The death toll is 381
6 INFECTIONS IN MOHALI
Mohali on Tuesday reported five new Covid19 cases, pushing the tally to 69,111, with 55 active cases. Six patients were discharged, raising the recovery count to 67,982. The death toll is 1,074.
