Haryana high on vaccination and low on cases, Sirsa becomes fourth Covid-free district | Chandigarh News


CHANDIGARH: Haryana on Friday remained high on vaccinations and low on new Covid-19 cases while no death was reported in the state for the third consecutive day.
As many as 12 cases were reported from four districts while total 39 persons were cured.
Meanwhile, Sirsa too got the tag of ‘Covid-free district’.
According to official information, a total of 2,18,989 persons were administered the vaccine jabs during the day. Out of them, 1,54,901 were given the first dose while 64,088 were given the second dose. The cumulative vaccination count of the state has gone up to 1,80,69,958.
On the Covid-19 front, the cumulative caseload of the state has climbed to 7,70,626 cases, along with 7,60,383 recoveries, 9,686 deaths and 213 active cases. Of the total active cases, 69 are in home isolation while the rest are hospitalized.
The death rate was reported to be 1.26 per cent and the recovery rate is pitched at 98.67 per cent. The positivity rate of the day was at 0.4 per cent and the cumulative positivity rate has been reported to be 6.46 per cent.
Gurugram reported the highest number of new cases (six), followed by three cases in Ambala, two in Panchkula and one case in Yamunanagar. Four districts — Nuh, Mahendergarh, Palwal and Sirsa — got the tag of Covid-free districts.
