Haryana government to launch unique ‘Samarpan’ programme soon: CM | Chandigarh News


CHANDIGARH: The Haryana government is all set to launch a volunteer programme, ‘Samarpan’, which aims to rope in volunteers to serve society, said chief minister Manohar Lal Khattar on Tuesday, while presiding over a meeting in Chandigarh.
The CM said the programme the programme is aimed at to build a better society and volunteers involved in the programme would also play an important role in curbing crime through counselling.
During registration for the programme, volunteers will have to enter their details and the area they are willing to work in.
They will also enter this information at the time of applying and also the number of hours the volunteers will be able to work for the programme in a week. Based on the details provided by the volunteers, their services will be rendered as per their interest area.
The CM said the programme’s focus was on the social sector.
