At least three Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) terrorists were neutralised including top Commander Mudasir Pandit, who was involved in the killing of three policemen and four others, in an encounter by security forces on Monday in Sopore of Jammu and Kashmir’s Baramulla district.
The encounter took place in the Gund Brath area of Sopore in the north Kashmir district.
The encounter had started late on Sunday night as the security forces launched a cordon and search operation in the area following information about the presence of at least three militants, including Pandit, in the area.
Taking to Twitter, Inspector General of Police Vijay Kumar wrote, “Top LeT terrorist Mudasir Pandit who was involved in killing of 3 policemen, 2 councillors & 2 civilians recently and other several terror crimes got killed in Sopore encounter.”
