Covid-19: Active cases go below 10K in Haryana, districts reports less than 100 cases | Chandigarh News


CHANDIGARH: Recoveries continue to exceed new cases for the 26th day while death showed decline for fourth consecutive day as Haryana on Saturday reported 723 new cases, 1,744 recoveries and 59 deaths during the day.
Most importantly all the districts have reported less than 100 cases and three districts namely, Palwal, Charkhi Dadri and Nuh which have reported less than 10 cases.
Most importantly, the figure of active cases has come below the figure of 10,000 as the day closed 9,974 active cases out of which 8,202 are in home isolation and rest are on oxygen support and ventilator support in medical colleges and hospitals across the state.
While state’s cumulative tally has come to 76,16,37 cases, 74,29,99 recoveries, 8,664 deaths. More recoveries have pushed the recovery rate of the state to 97.55 %. While positivity rate of the day was reported at 1,87% and cumulative positivity rate of second wave was recorded at 13.87%. Cumulative death rate was recorded alarming 1.14%.
Maximum five deaths each were reported from Hisar, Rewari and Bhiwani districts followed by four deaths each from Panipat, Sirsa, Fatehabad, Jhajjar and Jind districts. Three deaths each were reported from Kurukshetra and Gurugram districts.
Two deaths each were reported from Ambala, Karnal, Panchkula and Nuh districts while one death each was reported from Charkhi Dadri, Mahindergarh and Faridabad districts. While no death was reported from Rohtak and Sonipat districts during the day.
Hisar reported 75 cases, highest for the day while Yamunanagar reported 67. Hisar now has 53418 cases with 913 deaths and 979 active cases while Yamunagar has 23965 cases with 356 deaths and 533 active cases. Panchkula reported 66 cases while Karnal 57, Sirsa 55, Jind 48, Gurugram 45, Ambala 40, Faridabad 37, Sonepat and Fatehabad 29, Kaithal 25, Kurukshetra 24, Rohtak and Mahindergarh 21, Rewari and Bhiwani 19, Panipat 18, Jhajjar 15, Palwal 7, Charkhi Dadri 5 and Nuh 1.
